Compare Standard Water Softeners "The Usual Suspects"
Pictured above are all single compartment media tanks.

When configured as a water softener they will also have a brine tank. The brine tank can be a separate tank on the side or they can be a tank inside a tank. The majority of these media tanks are fiberglass. They have a single

All water are single vessel tanks. This means that the tank has no division or compartments. They are filled with one media called resin. They exchange calcium, magnesium and iron for sodium or potassium. They do not filter out any chemicals and have a limited resin life determined by the levels of oxidizers in the water supply like chlorine or chloramine.

Tired of dot com at the end of your URL? Get rid of it. That’s right… chuck your dot com; welcome to the not com revolution. Driven by desired URLs being taken by similar businesses (leaving latecomer business owners with no choice but to buy long, unwieldy domains), security issues and the brand recognition of dropping the ubiquitous dot com, “not coms” are popping up everywhere.
Vortech tank technology will use 30% less water than a standard distributor tank. This means you have lower water costs and better efficiency.

What's inside the CHLORAMAX?
This 2 compartment system contains both catalytic carbon and cation resin
Calgon take me away!
The CHLORAMAX is capable of filtering out chloramines, chlorine, volotale organic compounds and disinfection byproducts because it has 2 cubic feet of Calgon Centaur Catalytic Carbon made from Coconut shells. This is brand name virgin carbon.

This is not a mixed bed of carbon and resin. The Vortech mid plate system keeps the 2 cubic feet of carbon separate from the 1 cubic foot of cation resin.
Cation Resin
The CHLORAMAX has 1 cubic foot of cation resin. It uses sodium or potassium to regenerate as needed based on your water usage.
